Those beautiful words were written by the poet and artist Hoang Du - one of the “promising writer” who wrote Sigma's success story on the project of Soc Trang 7 OffShore Wind Farm. It seems in the sun, the wind of the construction site, only Sigma soldiers who are working day and night on that Western land can fully understand the beauty of nature and people here, isn’t it?

Soc Trang in the early days of August has a unique charm. Water from the upper reaches of the Mekong River is returned, so that the West river is full of water. Residents here call it the flood season, then it is naturally changed to the floating season.

Floating season runs along Tram Chim, Sen Village, Chau Doc - Tinh Bien - An Phu... In the past, when not being able to adapt to natural adversity, the floating season became an obsession of people. When the flood season comes, everywhere is water, flooded everywhere from houses to gardens, crops .... But over time, they also get used to it, the residents living in the water area have already died, so it is no longer strange to the flood season. The flood season is also a harvest season. There are water lilies, Common sesban, Ciprinidae, fertile alluvium... creating a magical and colorful Soc Trang.
 
Under the influence of Covid-19 epidemic, Soc Trang 7 OffShore Wind Farm project also went through a difficult period when applying social distancing according to directive 16 of the Government. However, the Sigma members on the construction site still fight the epidemic day and night and take advantage of every moment when the sea is smooth. After months of hard work, Soc Trang 7 OffShore Wind Farm has gradually appeared in the midst of that beautiful landscape. Officially deployed from the end of October 2020, Soc Trang 7 becomes one of the key projects of Soc Trang province, with a total design capacity of up to 120MW. Up to now, the first turbine foundation of the project has been successfully installed, on schedule, ensuring the technical standards according to the design.

With the maximum support of modern machinery and equipment and the solid expertise of Sigma's staff on the construction site, the link bridge is expected to be completed on August 10. The turbine section is expected to be completed on August 15, and the 22kV cable line will also be completed on August 20.
