Summer comes on the construction site of Soc Trang 7 Offshore Wind Farm

As a coastal province in the Mekong Delta, about 23 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Soc Trang has both a secret charm of the Southern garden river and makes people ecstatic by its unique cultural beliefs with the interference of the three ethnic communities of Kinh - Khomer and Chinese. Therefore, despite the bumpy roads ahead, people still choose Soc Trang as a place to stop while enjoying the beautiful nature and immersing in the spiritual atmosphere. Not only that, people still like to go to Soc Trang when they come back in the summer. Summer is when the rice flowers sway in harmony with the wind when the sun shines on the shoulders of Sigma soldiers who are working here - with Soc Trang 7 Offshore Wind Farm.

Besides V1-3 Ben Tre, Soc Trang 7 Offshore Wind Farm is known to be one of the key projects of Sigma whilst receiving great attention. As a large-scale wind power project of Soc Trang province, with a total design capacity up to 120 MW, built with 2 phases, on the total surveyed area of ​​3,100 ha; in which phase 1 has a capacity of 30MW with a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion dongs and phase 2 has a capacity of 90MW with a total investment of nearly 4,200 billion dongs.

According to the forecasts, when the wind farm is officially put into operation, it will contribute to the efficient exploitation of wind resources, help increase state budget revenue, create jobs for local workers and protect the environment. Hence, the Department of Industry and Trade has coordinated with the local departments and agencies to quickly implement the clearance work to hand over the site to the investor. With the Soc Trang 7 Offshore Wind Farm, the ongoing works include:
 

- WTG’s foundation:

• Completed pouring concrete pile head joint for 07/07 foundations.
• Concrete pouring cast 1 is completed on 06/07 foundations.
  Concrete pouring cast 2 is completed on 05/07 foundations.
• Pouring concrete cast 3 completed 02/07 foundations

- Link Bridge:

• Piling works: completed 626 piles, accumulated 770/1162 piles.
• Bridge piers: concreted for 86 piers, accumulated 101/488 piers.
• PC girder installation: completed installing 35 spans of 2I500 girders, accumulated 41/492 spans.
• PC bridge desk installation: completed installing 138 modules, accumulated 163/492 modules.
• PC girder production: completed 98 I500 girders, accumulated 304/330 girders and completed 96 double T girders, accumulated 148/327 girders.
• Bridge desk production: completed 315 PC bridge desks, accumulated 441/822 desks

- 22kV transmission line:

• Excavation works: completed 02 foundation, accumulated 05/05 foundations.
• Indigo piling: completed 03 foundations, accumulated 05/05 foundations.
• Lean concrete: completed 02 foundations, accumulated 05/05 foundations.
• Concrete cast 1: completed 03 foundations, accumulated 04/05 foundations.
• Concrete cast 1: completed 04 foundations, accumulated 04/05 foundations.
• Concrete cast 3: completed 04 foundations, accumulated 04/05 foundations.
• Backfilling works: completed 04 foundations, accumulated 04/05 foundations.
