Representing the Investor – ST2 Energy JSC, Mr. To Duy – Chairman of the Board of Directors, officially signed the contract, with the participation of other members of the Board of Directors, the Chief Financial Officer, the Project Director, and the Project Management Board.
The contract signing ceremony took place in a warm yet formal atmosphere, serving as a reunion of familiar partners between the Investor and EPC Contractor Sigma. It marked a new chapter in their strategic partnership, opening up further opportunities for long-term and sustainable cooperation in the future.

A moment of camaraderie and cooperation at the contract signing ceremony between ST2 Energy JSC and Sigma Engineering JSC
The Nearshore Wind Farm Soc Trang 7 phase 2 has a total capacity of 90MW, consisting of 19 wind turbines with a unit capacity of 4.7MW and an estimated annual electricity output of 282 million kWh. The project will be implemented in Vinh Hai Commune, Can Tho City (formerly Vinh Hai Commune, Vinh Chau Town, Soc Trang Province), with construction scheduled to begin in December 2025 and commercial operation (COD) expected in November 2026.
In this project, Sigma undertakes the Balance of Plant (BOP) package under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) scope, including:
- Design, supply, and construction of wind turbine foundations;
- Design, supply, and installation of the 22kV medium-voltage cable system, including offshore cables from 19 turbines (6 routes) to the jetty connection point of Phase I, on-jetty cables, and overhead lines from the jetty to the substation;
- Transportation and installation of 19 wind turbine towers;
- Design, supply, and installation of the SCADA system for the plant;
- Design, supply, and installation of the camera surveillance system and other auxiliary facilities.
The Nearshore Wind Farm Soc Trang 7 phase 2 contract marks a significant milestone reaffirming Sigma’s strategic vision, execution capability, and brand reputation – a company that has been shaping the future of Vietnam’s green energy sector. Over the years, Sigma has successfully delivered numerous large-scale wind energy projects, most notably the Ben Tre V1-3 Offshore Wind Farm and the Soc Trang Wind Farm – Phase I. Both projects achieved COD ahead of the FIT deadline on December 31, 2021, earning high praise and trust from investors – a testament to Sigma’s superior construction quality, professional project management, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
