On the mild autumn morning of October 6, 2025, Sigma Engineering JSC was honored to welcome the senior leadership delegation from Yurtec Corporation (Japan) to its headquarters at HUD Tower in Hanoi. The visit held special significance—not only as a reunion between long-time partners but also as a testament to the enduring and trusted cooperation that has flourished between the two companies over the years.
Leading the Yurtec delegation was Mr. Toshinori Abe, Representative Director & Chairman of the Board, accompanied by Mr. Hidetoshi Senma, General Manager of Corporate Planning Department, and Mr. Satoshi Chida, General Manager of Overseas Department. From the very first moments of the meeting, a warm and sincere atmosphere filled the room, setting the stage for an open and heartfelt conversation.
In his speech, Mr. Toshinori Abe expressed his deep emotion upon returning to Vietnam—a country he described as “dynamic, full of vitality, and still retaining its unique friendliness and hospitality.” With a friendly smile, he shared, “I had pho in Houston five years ago, but today, I’m truly excited to enjoy the authentic taste of pho right here in Hanoi.”

Beyond the cordial remarks, Mr. Abe reaffirmed Sigma’s important position in Yurtec’s “Vision 2030” strategy, identifying Vietnam as a key market in its global expansion journey. “Sigma has proven its outstanding management and construction capabilities. Your growth is our pride. Yurtec will continue to stand by Sigma and provide maximum support,” he emphasized.
The Chairman also shared that this trip was not only to survey Sigma’s key projects but also to gain a deeper understanding of the people behind them—the engineers and workers who tirelessly contribute to shared success. “Through work, people grow; and from that growth comes not only satisfaction but also emotion for customers. That is the cycle of sustainable development,” he said.
In response, Mr. Nguyen Quang Ngoc, General Director of Sigma Engineering JSC, expressed his sincere gratitude to Yurtec’s leadership on behalf of all Sigma employees. He recalled the challenging post-Covid-19 period, when Vietnam’s economy and construction industry faced great instability, yet Sigma remained steadfast—largely thanks to Yurtec’s timely support, trust, and partnership. “That encouragement was the strength that allowed us to reaffirm our position in the M&E industry,” he shared.
Immediately after the working session, the Yurtec delegation visited three representative projects executed by Sigma in Hanoi and Hung Yen.
The first stop was Tien Bo Plaza, a high-rise building designed and constructed according to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards. This is one of Hanoi’s pioneering buildings in applying energy-saving solutions, reducing carbon emissions, and optimizing operational efficiency. Sigma undertook the entire MEP package, implementing central air-conditioning systems, intelligent lighting, and low-voltage systems with high precision, meeting the strict requirements of international green building standards.

Next, the delegation visited The Senique Ocean Park, located in the eastern urban area of Hanoi. The project is considered a “highlight” in Sigma’s 2025 portfolio, notable for its large scale, technical complexity, and tight schedule. On-site, Sigma engineers presented the MEP construction process using BIM technology and an integrated management system that minimizes errors and enhances efficiency. Mr. Toshinori Abe was visibly impressed by the professionalism and safety compliance of the Vietnamese engineering team, who worked diligently under extreme conditions, with temperatures reaching 50°C.

The third stop was the British University Vietnam (BUV) project, where Sigma successfully completed Phase 1 with quality exceeding expectations and is preparing for Phase 2. Designed to international educational standards, the project’s MEP systems executed by Sigma are modern, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly. Yurtec’s leaders praised Sigma’s close coordination with the investor, strict adherence to schedules, and attention to detail in every technical aspect.

Following the Hanoi visits, on October 8–9, the Yurtec delegation continued their journey to the Mekong Delta—to the Ben Tre Wind Power Plant, one of the region’s most representative renewable energy projects executed by Sigma. Accompanying the delegation were four Sigma Deputy General Directors and representatives from the Board of Directors, underscoring the importance of this visit in the context of their bilateral cooperation strategy.
The Ben Tre Wind Power Plant stands as a symbol of renewable energy development in the Mekong Delta, a region blessed with strong wind potential and natural conditions ideal for clean energy expansion. During the visit, the Yurtec leadership team, together with Sigma’s General Director Nguyen Quang Ngoc, four Deputy Directors, and other executives, conducted a field survey at the site.
There, the delegation toured the operation area, examined the transmission system, and observed the grid connection process. Yurtec’s leaders highly appreciated the technical expertise, management capability, and professionalism of Sigma’s engineering team—who continue to play a vital role in executing MEP packages under challenging coastal conditions.
Mr. Toshinori Abe expressed his admiration for Sigma’s teamwork and dedication, stating, “Developing renewable energy is not only a trend but a shared responsibility of global engineering enterprises. Yurtec looks forward to expanding collaboration with Sigma in this field to create world-class green projects.”
General Director Nguyen Quang Ngoc added, “The Ben Tre Wind Power Plant is a clear demonstration of Sigma’s EPC general contracting capacity—from design and equipment procurement to installation and operation. With Yurtec’s international expertise and partnership, we believe future renewable energy projects will be implemented on a larger scale, with more advanced and efficient technology.”
The visit concluded in a warm and emotional atmosphere. Firm handshakes and sincere wishes became symbols of mutual trust and friendship between the two companies. More than just a business meeting, it was a gathering of great minds—where “The Spirit of Possibilities” was reaffirmed, igniting confidence and ambition to conquer new frontiers. From this foundation of sustainable cooperation, Yurtec and Sigma will continue to move forward together, creating international values that embody sustainability, innovation, and promise for the future.
