Westlake Square Hanoi, invested and developed by Toshin Development – a member of Japan’s Takashimaya Group – is a premium commercial and office complex located at a strategic site in the heart of the Starlake urban area. The highlight of the project is Takashimaya Hanoi Shopping Center, marking an important milestone in the brand’s expansion into Northern Vietnam, following its success in Ho Chi Minh City in 2016.
In its initial phase, the project features a total gross floor area of approximately 43,000 m², comprising a commercial podium from basement level B1 to the 6th floor, and a Grade-A office block from the 7th to 10th floor. All components are planned and designed to international standards, maximizing functionality and delivering a premium, comfortable experience for tenants.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ba Duong – Founding Chairman of Newtecons, the project's main General Contractor – delivered a keynote speech highlighting the strategic significance of Westlake Square Hanoi. He emphasized that this is not only a modern architectural project but also a symbol of collaboration between leading Vietnamese and Japanese enterprises. He affirmed that the project's success relies on close coordination among contractors, in which Sigma, as the MEP General Contractor, plays a crucial role in ensuring the high technical quality, safety, and long-term operation of the building systems.
As the MEP General Contractor for the initial phase, Sigma is committed to delivering optimal technical solutions that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and schedule, while closely collaborating with other project stakeholders to bring to life a development of international stature.
The ceremony concluded with a symbolic groundbreaking ritual, marking the beginning of a journey to create a new architectural icon in Hanoi – a project that embodies the values of sustainable, modern, and prosperous development.
