Finals of SSOC 2023: The fierce confrontation between the eldest brother of the Mechanical team and the Red Soldier team

So, the football tournament of the Sigma Spring Open Cup 2023 has spent 3 months of exciting competition, with 10 teams including more than 200 engineers from company projects and guests Yurtec, with 50 fierce matches, the SSOC 2023 tournament brought the audience eye-catching performances and impressive goals. The last two names, the best was announced in the final, towards the championship trophy named the Sigma Spring Open Cup: Team Safety and M1. Will the eldest brother of the Mechanical team ascend to the throne, or will the red-shirted soldiers occupy the throne? All questions were answered in the series of finals and closing ceremonies on Sunday afternoon, May 28, 2023, at Bang B Stadium, Linh Dam, Hoang Mai, Hanoi.

The opening was an exciting competition between two pairs in 7th place: M3 – M&S and 9th place: E3 -Yurtec Electrical. On stage 1, with an impressive series of performances at the end of the season, M3 is completely confident for the decisive match for 7th place to get out of the bottom position of the table. The M3 players completely dominated the game with an overwhelming attack. The most dangerous opportunity for M&S was the missed penalty early in the game. Right after your team's penalty missed situation, M3 had a goal to open the scoring. Having the advantage of taking the lead and completely mastering the game, the M3 players scored 4 more consecutive goals to close the 5-0 victory over M&S. Finishing the tournament in 7th place with a series of consecutive wins at the end of the season will be a great motivation and determination for M3 in the next tournament. As for the M&S players, they also left a lot of impressions and showed great progress in this tournament.
 

 

 

In stage 2, the encounter between E3 and Y-E also promises to be well-balanced and full of surprises. Without thinking much about the game, both clubs chose an open attacking style to give the audience a beautiful match before the end of the tournament. But on a poor day of competition and partly influenced by hot weather, the strikers of both sides could not find the net once. The final whistle of the referee sounded at the same time both clubs prepared for a penalty shootout full of luck. And Yurtec Electrical were braver when they won 5-4 in the penalty shootout, leaving the tournament in 9th place. The E3 players, with the transfer of the squad this season, have not received high results, promising to come back stronger next season.
 

 

The second series of matches was the bronze medal match between E1 and Yurtec Mechanical on the 1st field and the 5th place match between E2 and M2 on the 2nd field. On the 1st field, E1 and Y-M once again reunited in the decisive context for the SSOC-2023 bronze medal. E1 is still the team that deploys the familiar attacking style every time they enter the match. Imposing the game but facing the other side of the front line is Y-M with tight, physical football, it took a lot of hard work for the E1 players to get what they needed was the opening goal in the first half. In the second half, when the fitness and concentration of Y-M players were no longer maintained as in the first half, E1 got themselves 3 more goals to close the match with a 4-0 victory overall, closing the tournament with a bronze medal SSOC-2023. Bringing the tournament, a new breeze, always making it difficult for all opponents and 4th place in the tournament is completely worth the efforts of the Yurtec players.
 

 

The court next door is the confrontation between E2 - M2 for 5th place, a confrontation where the result of recent encounters has always been in favor of M2, and it is not exaggerated when M2 is considered the best match of E2. Entering the match, E2 with great determination to win to pay back the debt of previous confrontations. But M2 still shows itself to be an annoying opponent and not easy for E2 to overcome. The two teams held each other in a goalless match and pulled each other into a fateful penalty shootout. On a series of gunfights full of luck, the E2 players finally got what they needed: a 3-2 victory over M2, to finish the tournament in 5th place. M2 with 6th place overall somewhat. There are still regrets because they had a very successful tournament but with what they have shown, M2 can completely hope for a higher ranking in the upcoming tournament.
 

 

 

The final match between M1 - S has received a lot of attention and is expected to be unpredictable when both clubs have not faced each other in SSOC 2023, promising to bring many surprises to their opponents. With the nature of a final, both M1 and S played cautiously in the first half of the first half, high and long balls were deployed by both teams, and a tight and sure game was given to the two teams. The turning point of the match was created in a corner situation, M1 got the opening goal after a very quick shot from Dao Van Cong. Having the advantage of leading the table, M1 actively played slowly and defended the results in the first half. Entering the second half, with the need to raise the squad to find an equalizer, Safety had neglected the defense and had to receive the second goal at the beginning of the second half. At this point, with the mentality that there was nothing left to lose, the Safety players put the entire squad into the opponent's field looking for a goal. The regretfully missed situations with the haste of the S players. The match gradually drifted to the last minutes and was pushed to the climax when the S players had a 1-2 shortened goal in the last official minute of play. The 4 minutes of extra time were the most stressful moments for those who love both M1 and Safety. Unable to create a surprise in injury time, the referee's whistle sounded at the end of the game, and bursting with emotions with the 3rd spring championship in a row for M1, and the regret with one more second place in 2 consecutive tournaments of Safety players.
 

 



 

Finally, the new owner of the SSOC 2023 season has been officially named. The glory and warmth of spring once again touched the hearts of the M1 boys. The closing ceremony and individual awards ceremony also took place successfully with a lot of love and attention from the audience, closing a colorful and meaningful season.
