2026 marks a significant milestone for Red Sunday as Sigma Engineering expanded the program nationwide, organizing blood donation activities simultaneously at three locations: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Lao Cai. In Hanoi, the program took place at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion; in Ho Chi Minh City, at the City Red Cross; and in Lao Cai, at the People’s Committee of Cam Duong Ward in coordination with the Provincial Red Cross. Though held in different locations, all sites shared the same compassionate heartbeat and the same aspiration to give precious drops of blood to help preserve patients’ lives.
According to the Organizing Committee, the total number of blood donation registrations across all three regions reached 1,350, with Hanoi alone recording 1,115 registrations. As a result, the program collected 904 units of blood nationwide, achieving 67% of the total registrations. In Hanoi specifically, 726 units of blood were received, promptly contributing to emergency response and treatment needs during the first days of the new year. These figures not only reflect the scale of the program but also demonstrate the strong sense of social responsibility among Sigma Engineering employees, especially as many colleagues were still busy working on key projects and construction sites across the country.

The program’s strong appeal: hundreds of employees and engineers from various projects arrived early, eager to take part in this meaningful act

The Sigma Engineering spirit spreads from the office to project sites
Present at the event, Mr. Yatsu Takabumi, Chairman of the Company and representative of Sigma Engineering’s Leadership Board, could not hide his emotion upon witnessing thousands of employees, family members, and partners gathering in a shared space of compassion. For Sigma, Red Sunday is not merely a voluntary blood donation activity; it has become a place where unity, sharing, and the company’s core humanistic values are clearly and sustainably nurtured year after year, generation after generation of Sigma people.

Mr. Yatsu Takabumi, Chairman of the Company and representative of Sigma Engineering’s Leadership Board, expressed his pride in Sigma’s role as a pioneering force in the 5th Red Sunday
Sharing the significance of expanding Red Sunday nationwide, Mr. Nguyen Van Hiep, Head of the Safety Department and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the 5th Red Sunday, stated that organizing the program simultaneously in multiple localities is a vivid testament to Sigma Engineering’s long-term commitment to corporate social responsibility. According to him, the Organizing Committee hopes that every Sigma member—whether working in offices or on construction sites, in the North, Central, or Southern regions—will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the community. When blood is donated from different regions, it converges into a compassionate flow bearing the distinct Sigma imprint, embodying the spirit of “Giving to receive so much more” that the company steadfastly pursues.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hiep also emphasized that what he and the Organizing Committee value most is not merely the number of blood units collected, but more importantly the spread of compassion within each Sigma individual. He hopes that after the program, every participant will feel a deep sense of pride in being part of the Sigma Engineering family, thereby continuing to carry that spirit of sharing into their work and daily lives, and spreading positive values to the surrounding community.
Many other employees also view Red Sunday as a meaningful early-year appointment. Mr. Le Duy Trinh, participating in blood donation for the fourth time, shared that although it was a day off, everyone was full of enthusiasm. For him, the greatest joy lies in being healthy enough to share, and he hopes that images of the program will continue to spread so that more patients can be saved.

Alongside the active participation of office staff, the spirit of Red Sunday also spread deeply across construction sites and projects. There, PMs and SMs directly encouraged, accompanied, and donated blood together with their teams, creating a strong ripple effect and affirming that this initiative stemmed from genuine voluntarism rather than formality. Quietly behind the program’s success was the persistent contribution of the HSE team and support departments, who worked closely with the Trade Union Executive Committee and the Organizing Committee to ensure effective communication, health monitoring, and participant safety, enabling the program to be conducted in a scientific and fulfilling manner.

With the hearts of Sigma’s engineers, workers, and staff, Sigma Engineering’s journey of social responsibility continues to be written—beginning with simple acts that carry long-lasting impact for the community.
