Sigma organized a fire prevention training program at the Head Office

Based on the statistics, in 5 years (from 2016 to 2021), there were 2,961 fires and explosions in the city, including many big fires, causing serious damage to people and properties. In the first 6 months of 2022, 206 fires occurred, killing 12 people, and injuring 10 others. The area where the fire occurred was concentrated mainly in the inner-city districts (accounting for 65%).
In order to strengthen legal knowledge on fire prevention and fighting as well as practice in fire prevention and fighting, contributing to the effective implementation of the Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting, protecting the assets of the unit and human life, and providing provide basic knowledge on fire prevention and fighting, necessary skills for self-protection and troubleshooting when fire and explosion incidents occur; On August 13, 2022, Sigma Engineering JSC held a training course on fire protection knowledge and rehearsed fire prevention plans for all Sigma employees at the Head Office.
Attending the training session were representatives of the BOD, all office staff and the Company Safety Board. At the training course, Mr. Nguyen Van Hiep - Chief Deputy of HSE Section instructed on fire prevention and fighting safety measures, disseminated knowledge about fire prevention and fighting techniques, methods of fire safety inspection and fire prevention measures at the unit, how to prevent fire and fire fighting in the use of electricity, how to check and preserve, use on-site firefighting means, preventive measures when fire incidents occur and assign tasks to each member of the fire prevention and fighting team.
At the training course, the Company's employees are also guided to practice drills when encountering a fire situation, guide to escape when there is a fire or fire alarm at the Head Office.
At the end of the training session, 100% of participants understood the fire prevention and fighting measures and responded to the incident and mastered the way to escape when there was a fire.
