Sigma Implements Periodic Health Check-Up and Occupational Disease Detection Program 2024

From December 20 to 29, 2024, Sigma Engineering JSC successfully organized the Periodic Health Check-Up and Occupational Disease Detection Program for all employees.

Participants underwent comprehensive health examinations at multiple locations nationwide, including:

  • Hanoi (December 28-29, 2024): Conducted at Ha Thanh General Hospital, 61 Vu Thanh Street, O Cho Dua Ward, Dong Da District. This hospital is famous for its extensive experience in providing high-quality medical services, from general health check-ups to specialized examinations.
  • Saigon (December 27, 2024): Held at Ivy Health International General Clinic, 120 Nguyen Trai Street, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Known for its highly specialized medical staff and state-of-the-art equipment, this clinic ensures optimal health care services for employees in the southern region.
  • Da Nang (December 20, 2024): Organized at Phuc Khang General Hospital, 02 Le Thanh Nghi Street, Hoa Cuong Bac Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City. The program in this central region facility was meticulously prepared to provide the best medical services for employees in the area.

The program is part of Sigma’s comprehensive health care strategy, consistently implemented each year. It not only demonstrates the company’s corporate social responsibility but also underscores its special attention to the health and well-being of each employee.

Comprehensive Health Check-Up Categories

The health check-up program is designed with a wide range of examinations to provide an accurate assessment of each employee's health condition. The detailed categories include:

1. Clinical Examination

  • General check-up: A comprehensive evaluation of overall health and early detection of abnormalities.
  • Body measurements: Including height, weight, BMI, and blood pressure to assess physical condition and cardiovascular health.
  • Internal medicine examination: Focusing on internal organs such as the heart, lungs, digestive system, and circulatory system.
  • ENT (ear, nose, and throat) examination: Assessing functionality and detecting diseases related to the ears, nose, and throat.
  • Dental and maxillofacial examination: Checking oral health and identifying issues such as cavities, gum diseases, or jaw joint problems.
  • Ophthalmology examination: Evaluating vision and identifying issues like refractive errors, dry eye syndrome, or other eye-related conditions.
  • Dermatology examination: Checking skin health and detecting early signs of abnormalities such as dermatitis, fungal infections, or skin cancer.
  • Gynecology examination (for women): Focused on detecting and preventing gynecological diseases to protect reproductive health.

2. Diagnostic Imaging

  • Digital X-ray of the heart and lungs: Assessing heart and lung health. Normal cases are recorded on discs, while pathological cases are printed on film for further monitoring.

  • Abdominal ultrasound: Checking the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, and other abdominal organs.

  • Neck ultrasound: Detecting abnormalities in the thyroid gland and lymph nodes.

  • Breast ultrasound (for women): Screening for early signs of breast cancer.

3. Laboratory Tests

  • Blood tests: Including blood sugar, lipid profiles, liver and kidney functions, and markers for infections.

  • Urine tests: Evaluating kidney function and detecting urinary system disorders.

  • Cancer screening: Testing for early cancer markers to enable proactive health protection.

For employees working in heavy-duty or hazardous environments, the program includes specialized examinations such as:

  • Respiratory system evaluation: Detecting diseases caused by exposure to chemicals, dust, and other toxic factors.

  • Musculoskeletal assessment: Early detection of occupational diseases caused by prolonged heavy-duty physical activities.

  • Liver, kidney, and blood tests: Identifying the effects of exposure to hazardous chemicals.
