09/12/2024

Round 11 of Sigma Champions League 2024 has ended with explosive matches and many surprises, bringing contrasting emotions to fans. The highlight of the round was the fierce confrontation between M1 and M3 and the miraculous comeback of E3 against M&S. This was also the round that set a record for the number of goals since the beginning of the tournament, creating an eye-catching football feast for fans. These results not only changed the situation of the rankings but also clearly defined the competing groups in the final rounds.

The highlight of the round 11 series was the civil war between M1 and M3 on field number 1, the match in which the winning team will hold a big advantage for a medal position. With the importance of this match, both teams took to the field with almost their strongest lineups with a series of Sigma players. The match heated up right from the first minutes with a series of fierce tackles from both clubs. With the caution and certainty of both sides, the first half did not have many clear opportunities created, both sides went into the break with a 0-0 draw. Entering the second half, as the team with the goal of having to win, M1 played more adventurously, more determinedly and attacked more fiercely against the opponent. Two quick goals in just 3 short minutes against M3 at the beginning of the half were the key to opening this match for M1 players. Removing the competitive mentality, M1's pure feet continuously bombarded the M3 net and only let the opponent get 1 honorable goal. The resounding 6-1 victory over M3 helped M1 players surpass their opponents on the SCL 2024 rankings.

M1 had an important victory over M3 to surpass their opponent on the rankings

On field number 2, M&S, with their impressive performance in recent rounds, were full of enthusiasm in welcoming the second-to-last team in the E3 rankings. They entered the match with confidence and were given an early gift by the opposing team's goalkeeper in the first minutes of the match. It was thought that this would be an easy match for M&S players after scoring an early opening goal, but on a day of playing under the defense, they made consecutive serious mistakes. First, the 1-1 equalizer by E3 players came unexpectedly after a poor defensive move by the defenders. Although in the following minutes, M&S once again scored a goal to take the lead over E3. But serious mistakes by the defense made M&S players lose their advantage right in the first half with the second goal. In the second half, the mentality of having points made M&S players impatient in the attacking phases, their heads and feet were not accurate enough in decisive situations to bring back the third goal. On the other hand, E3 played very determinedly, knowing themselves and their opponents. They calmly neutralized the opponents' attacks and launched sharp counterattacks. The third goal for E3 players was a worthy reward for the efforts they showed in this match. Not stopping there, the excitement and high spirit helped E3 players score 2 more goals in the final minutes of the match, thereby bringing their team the best match since the beginning of the tournament with an unbelievable 5-2 comeback against M&S.

M&S unexpectedly fell off the horse before E3 and missed the chance to chase the top 4

In the next series of matches, there were two pairs of E1 - E2 and Safety - M2. On field number 1, E1 welcomed E2 with a relaxed mentality because in the match a few minutes before, the chasing team M3 lost to M1. Entering the match with not much pressure on the result, the E1 players played somewhat subjectively at the beginning against E2 and let E2 score 2 goals in a row. At this point, the pride of the E1 players was touched, they gradually regained control of the game against E2, controlled the game and managed to equalize 2-2 in the first half. Entering the second half, still maintaining the proactive and attacking game, for the first time in the match, the E1 players took the lead after an attacking move on the wing. But missing too many opportunities to increase the gap made the E1 players pay the price when E2 scored the equalizer 3-3 in the last official minutes of the match. Bringing back a valuable point against E1, the E2 players have widened the gap with the top 4 to 8 points and the chance for them to win a medal at SCL 2024 is almost gone.

E1 and E2 shared points in a match where 6 goals were scored and divided equally between the two teams.

On the field next door, only having to welcome the bottom team M2 is a great opportunity for Safety strikers to improve their goal difference as well as their individual scoring record at SCL 2024. And what happened in the 60 minutes of play accurately reflected the difference in strength between the two teams when right in the first half, Safety players had a big advantage with a 4-0 gap against M2. In the remaining 30 minutes of the match, despite withdrawing a series of key players to preserve their strength and replacing them with young players, Safety still scored 3 more goals to end the match with a 7-0 victory, a walk in the park for the reigning SSC 2024 champions. With the results obtained and the fact that E1 was held to a draw by E2 in the match at the same time, Safety breathed hot air on E1 when the gap between the two teams 2 points and they were only could completely surpass them in the following rounds.

Safety had another easy win against M2 and breathed hot air into the top team of E1.

The 11th round witnessed a feast of goals for the fans when 27 goals were scored. The round that set a record for the most goals since the beginning of the tournament, the match with the fewest goals also had 6 goals scored. The surprising results in this round somewhat reduced the fierce competition in the remaining rounds when there was a clear separation between the ranking groups.
