Sigma and the expectation of 2022: Winning the epidemic, confidently moving forward

In the context of the Covid-19 epidemic continuing to escalate and becoming increasingly complicated, the captain and Sigma's member continued to “hold the rowers” and move forward. Therefore, the success step once again called when Sigma was nominated in the Prestigious M&E Contractors Ranking in 2022 after 4 consecutive years of being named in the Top 5 Prestigious M&E Contractors from 2018-2021.
The context of the Covid-19 epidemic in 2022
As of the evening of February 26, the number of COVID-19 cases in Vietnam stood at 3,219,177, far exceeding the 3 million cases. This either causes confusion, excessive fear, or gives rise to an attitude of "insensitivity", regardless of the way "everyone will be F0", or subjective psychology due to having received the 2nd dose and 3rd vaccine.
However, according to medical experts, the most reasonable attitude today is to calm down, raise the awareness of self-preservation and protect the health of the relatives and the community from the people's side as well as the safety of the community as well as reasonable adjustments in the way of epidemic prevention and control from the authorities.
Vietnam is a country with the highest rate of vaccination against COVID-19 in the world. According to data from the Ministry of Health on the evening of February 26, in our country, more than 193.2 million doses of vaccine have been injected (while the population in 2020 is 97.34 million). Localities have been directed to increase vaccination against COVID-19, according to which, the 3rd dose of vaccine must be completed for people aged 18 years and older in the first quarter of 2022; complete the 2nd injection for children aged 12 to under 18 years in February 2022; prepare all conditions in terms of facilities, equipment, storage facilities, locations, and human resources to immunize children from 5 years old to under 12 years old immediately after being provided with vaccines.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Dac Phu, former Director of the Department of Preventive Medicine (Ministry of Health), Senior Advisor of the Center for Emergency Response to Public Health Events in Vietnam, vaccines only help reduce the risk of spreading and reduce the risk of severe disease, but not completely against SARS-CoV-2.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US CDC) also recommends that the COVID-19 vaccine helps the human body develop immunity against the virus that causes the disease, but there is no effective vaccine that is 100% effective. After vaccination, there is still a certain percentage of cases that are infected and can be transmitted to others. Infection in a fully vaccinated person is called "post-vaccination breakthrough infection" and is predictable.
Sigma and the faith overcome challenges
Although more than 90% of Sigma's employees have been vaccinated with the 3rd dose vaccine, due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, many engineers, and staff in projects and at the Head Office, family members, children, the elderly... in Sigma's family were tested positive, causing work and project progress to be somewhat affected.
Faced with that situation, on behalf of the Board of Directors of Sigma Engineering JSC, General Director Nguyen Quang Ngoc gave greetings, encouragement, and strength to each Sigma member to overcome this difficult period, because in front of each Sigma member is the responsibility, the work needs to be completed, and behind is a loving family that needs us to be the mainstay. Therefore, we absolutely must "hold the rowers", strong and determined not to give up!
The instructions for declaring, isolating, and treating F0 at home, along with the regime for Sigma employees who were unfortunately infected with Covid-19 were immediately issued by the HR Department and the Company Safety Department in a unified and complete way to ensure the interests of each Sigma member:
