According to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Welfare, in 2017, the number of unemployed people has a bachelor's degree continues to rise, more than 200,000 people compared to 2016. So what is the cause and the solution to the problem?

Causes of unemployment bachelor status

According to Professor Dao Trong Thi, former chairman of the Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Teens and Adolescents' Parliament, there are two main causes that lead to tens of thousands of graduates could not find work do. Firstly, the unemployment rate depends heavily on the level of economic growth of the country. Economic decrease is as same as an increase of unemployment rate. Secondly, human resources provided do not fit with the labor market, training is not tied to the planned development of human resources. This error is not only due to lack of accurate forecasts of human resources’ demand, but also lack of a master plan. According to Prof. Thi, this creates a strong impact on the graduates do not get jobs.

Sigma - prioritize young human resource development

Stories of more than 200,000 unemployed bachelors are always a painful topic in the society. Currently, many businesses prioritize young human resource development, who always have the spirit of learning and innovation, able to capture trends and technologies. Understanding this issue, in recent years, Sigma Engineering Corporation has recruited about 50 indicators for positions related to electro mechanics and automation with a salary of more than 5 million /month for fresh graduates. However, the income of employees will increase depending on the capacity of each person. Mr. Cao Trung Truc - representatives of HR division, said: "in 2017, the company plans to produce 1.5 times increase over the previous year, so we will recruit many new human".

According to a survey of many businesses, in 2017, mass production of mechanical, electrical, heat and refrigeration engineering ... will be employed at a high percentage. This is a good sign because “the window of opportunity” seems to have opened up to the young workforce to develop their competence, experience, ready to meet the demands of employment and minimize an unemployment rate in Vietnam.
