Hundreds of employees joined the Sigma - "Red Sunday, 2018" program

The Vietnamese people with the noble tradition of humanity: " Do unto others as you would have them done unto you" " The good leaves protect the worn-out leaves", so in modern society today, many individuals and organizations in society promote this tradition by practicing empathy, sympathy and sharing of material and spirituality for the poor, the helpless elderly, orphans.  With the same meaning, humanitarian blood donation - not only brings to human life but also a noble act, a noble gesture expressing the understanding, compassion and responsibility of everyone with the community; expressing our deepest tradition of mutual affection for our nation.

In the morning of January 28, 2018, in response to the great meaning of human blood donation, Sigma Engineering JSC, in collaboration with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion organized the “Red Sunday” program with many members in the office and all the projects that Sigma was implementing. The program has ended successfully, with the participation of more than 500 members.

 

The program officially began at 8 am, but at 7 o'clock, the captain of Sigma - Mr. Nguyen Quang Ngoc, was present at the Institute despite the rainy weather. In the beginning of the program, many members of the Wyndham Garden Hanoi Hotel have gathered enough. That can show the positive spread from the program.

At the blood donation, each area is divided so that the volunteer team can easily move, including: Blood Donor Registration Area, Clinical Area, Testing Area, Resting Area after Donating blood... After Wyndham Garden Hanoi Hotel, many members of other projects also appeared in the registered area, lined up seriously at the clinical area to wait for turns, such as: MB Grand Tower, The Legend, Yen Tu, Hanoi French International Hospital, Doji, Maintenance and Services Department, Head Office...

Next, each volunteer will sit in the hall to get results at the Testing Area, to check the eligibility and suitability for the blood donation program.

 

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang, Assistant to the Maintenance and Services Department said: "Although I’m not eligible for blood donation because I’m raising children, I still brought my husband to join the program because it is a very meaningful activity ".

     

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh – A secretary of Doji project shared that she is happy to be eligible to participate in the program. Although initially nervous, but then, she quickly regained the emotion. She will continue to accompany the next "Red Sunday".
After donating blood, the volunteers will be transferred to the resting area. Each person will be given a brunch, to ensure the health is always in the stable condition.

 

 

 In addition, to encourage volunteer spirit, participants were given blood donation certificates and a small gift from the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion. 

 

Mr. Nguyen Hoa Huy Hoang – Chief of Mechanical Section, Tender Division also said: "Last night's impression of U23 Vietnam is still hurrying in me, because it is the emotions of a man who gave a little contribution for the community and society. I am very proud to hold a certificate of blood donation”

Le Tung Lam, Head of the delegation, Head of HSE Department and Trade Union President summarized the program: "The blood supply at the Institute is in serious scarcity. By the end of January, the blood supply to the institute was only sufficient for patients after the Lunar New Year. I hope that Sigma's "drops of blood" will contribute to those in need."

The “Red Sunday" program of Sigma closed successfully. Once again thank the members of the Organizing Committee for creating a meaningful program with very proud results, together with all members of the Sigma family who have participated in the program. Wish for the following programs will be more successful!!!
