Project detail
Being one of the most important factors influencing the development of an entire economy, the supply of power, specially petrolium, is always on top concern of the government.Due to the fact that the operation of Dung Quat Refinery cannot meet the need of energy, Vietnamese government has taken into consideration the construction of another and bigger refinery project called Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex (Nghi Son RP). Right from the starting point, Nghi Son RP is considered to be the national important project with total investment of USD 9 billion from PetroVietnam, Kuwait Petrolium International, Idemitsu Kosan (Japan) and Mitsui Chemical (Japan).
The Complex is supposed to be completed in the end of 2016, starting operation for commercial since 2017 to supply 40% of the country’s need for petrolium with the capacity of 200 thousand oil barrels/day (approximately 10 million tons/year). Main products of the Complex are: Liquefied Petrolium Gas LPG: 32 thousand tons/ year; RON 92 Petro: 1,131 thousand tons/ year; RON 95 Petro: 1,131 thousand tons/ year; Jet fuel: 580 thousand tons/ year; High quality Diesel: 2,161 thousand tons/ year; Normal Diesel: 1,441 thousand tons/ year; Paraxylene: 670 thousand tons/ year; Benzene: 238 thousand tons/ year; Polypropylene: 366 thousand tons/ year; Solid sulfur: 244 thousand tons/ year. To achieve this output, Nghi Son RP will be equipped with modern equipment systems which run on the foundation of an cost effective, efficient and standardized mechanical and electrical system.
With our experience and reputation, Sigma is honored to make contribution to the construction of such M&E system. Being responsible for the supply and installation of M&E BLD-4 package, zone 2, area A600/AA00/AB00/AD00 from 09/2014 to 01/2016, all staffs, engineers and workers of Sigma is endeavoring to ensure the quality and progress of this important project.
