Saving lives - The beautiful images of Sigma people

With the knowledge accumulated from first aid training sessions organized by Sigma, Mr. Pham Dang Hai and Mr. Luong Van Dinh persistently performed the steps of removing phlegm from the mouth and performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and chest compressions. After about 10 minutes of continuous effort, the child began to cry and gradually regained consciousness. Afterwards, Mr. Pham Dang Hai and Mr. Luong Van Dinh handed the child over to the medical staff of the resort to be transferred to the hospital.

On August 11, 2024, Mr. Tran Xuan Hung, the child's grandfather, along with the parents of Tran Viet Anh (the victim), came to the resort to meet the people who saved the child and expressed their gratitude to the company and its leadership.

Mr. Tran Xuan Dung, the child's father, shared: "Tran Viet Anh is the third child in our family. He is currently 20 months old. On the afternoon of August 8, 2024, the child went out with his family and unfortunately fell into the swimming pool. Luckily, he was rescued by the staff of Sigma Engineering JSC." Mr. Dung recounted the words of the doctor at Quang Binh General Hospital: "If he had been discovered 1 to 2 minutes later or given the wrong first aid, the possibility of saving his life would have been very slim. Now it seems as though he has been born a second time." Mr. Dung also sent his sincere thanks to the company's Board of Directors and to those who discovered and saved his child. At this time, the child has fully recovered and is preparing to be discharged from the hospital.

Mr. Pham Dang Hai, representing those who gave first aid to the child, shared that, instinctively, when he heard people shouting that someone was drowning, he immediately ran over, calmed everyone down, and instructed them to step back so that he and Mr. Dinh could perform first aid on the child. After the child woke up, he felt very happy to have helped the child and the child's family. During the meeting, Mr. Hai accepted the thanks and congratulated the family. On this occasion, Mr. Hai also thanked the company and the Board of Directors for organizing skill training courses for the company's staff, including first aid training, so that everyone can protect themselves, their families, and those around them.

Representing the company's Board of Directors, Mr. Nguyen Quang Ngoc, the General Director of the company, accepted the thanks and congratulated Mr. Tran Xuan Hung, Mr. Dung, and baby Viet Anh on his recovery and good health. Mr. Ngoc also shared with the family and all the staff at the resort that when they heard about the child's accident and that he was saved by Sigma's people, the company's Board of Directors was very happy and felt that this company trip was very meaningful.
