The tense working atmosphere at Sigma sites

Another summer is approaching, despite the warmth of the sun, Sigma staff are still eager to work on the site. In recent days, Sigma has received numerous letter of awards for many projects, so everywhere on the site, there is a lot of work to do with the time and plan committed to the clients.

At West Bay Sky Residences, Ecopark – One of the Sigma’s typical M&E projects at the moment, everyone can feel the tense working atmosphere here. Implementing M&E works of tower A and B of the project, Sigma is making great efforts to speed up the progress and handover by the end of August 2017.

The reporter group had a talk with Phan Anh Tuan – Site Manager of West Bay Sky Residences project. Although the work was so stressful, when meeting with the reporters, the smiles suddenly blossomed on his lips as if dispelling all the fatigue. He said: “As soon as the handover date, the management and staff must make every effort to bring the project finish on time. To achieve this goal, all the staff need to concentrate as much as possible. As a site manager, I must make a management plan to keep things going, keeping track of the workers, subcontractors, supervisors and the client”.

Mr. Phan Anh Tuan also discussed the work of a site manager. With nearly 15 years of experience as a site manager, he has to learn and practice a lot of knowledge as well as skills and to promptly encourage and inspire the employee’s spirit.

Although the work was extremely busy, the project engineers and supervisors were very enthusiastic to guide the reporter group to visit the project site to better understand the work of the workers here.

Goodbye to West Bay project, the reporters continued to move to the British University Vietnam project (BUV) – one of the most typical projects of Sigma, located in Ecopark area, in less than 2 km away. Blending in the sunshine of summer, the project site office was slowly emerging with the outstanding brand of Sigma.

At the site office, Mr. Duong Van The – Site Manager was still busy in the meeting to speed up the schedule, solve the issues of the project. Outside the meeting room, the tense expression of the project engineer was exposed the high attention to complete the project on time.

After ending of the meeting, Mr. Duong Van The had a brief conversation with the reporter before continuing his work: “In BUV project in particular and other projects of Sigma, in general, are entering a difficult phase. We not only to solve the problem that arises during the progress of implementation but also to meet the schedule that set out with the client. Despite such difficulties, the employees at BUV are full of passion and enthusiasm. "
Besides these two projects, many other Sigma projects were still rushing to complete the works as committed to the client. Over the next few weeks, the report will continue to give the readers a working atmosphere on other Sigma projects.
