Sigma organizes a training program to respond to emergencies and instructs on first aid for accidents

With a commitment to continuously improve labor safety and health for employees, Sigma Engineering JSC organized a training program to respond to emergencies and provide periodic first aid instructions for accidents at the office on June 1, 2024. This program is held to equip employees with the necessary skills to deal with emergencies and increase awareness of the importance of first aid in work and daily life.

The program is organized with the following goals:

Raise safety awareness: Help employees clearly understand the importance of labor safety and necessary preventive measures.
Equip emergency response skills: Instruct employees on how to handle emergencies such as fires, earthquakes, and other incidents.
First aid training: Provides the necessary knowledge and skills to perform first aid for common workplace accidents.

The program has the participation of all employees working at the company office, supervisory engineers, and the HSE department. The program is guided by the Department of Safety and the National Center for Occupational Safety and Health. The main contents of the program include:

Emergency response drill program and accident first aid instructions at Sigma Office

1. Fire:

Instructions on how to use fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment.
Emergency evacuation drills in case of fire.

2. Chemical spills:

Instructions on how to handle chemical spills.
Practice safety measures to prevent and fix incidents.
How to use personal protective equipment when exposed to dangerous chemicals.

3. Disturbing public order:

Instructions on how to recognize and respond to situations that disrupt public order.
Practice safety measures for yourself and your colleagues.
Guidance on reporting procedures and cooperation with authorities.

4. First aid instructions for accidents:

Understand the purpose, principles, and requirements of first aid
How to check and assess the victim's condition.
Instructions on how to handle injuries and accidents such as broken bones, suffocation, chest compressions, software handling, and wound dressings
Instructions on how to transport the victim

The drill and training program attracted the enthusiastic participation of all employees. After the training session, employees have gained additional useful knowledge and necessary skills to respond to emergencies while improving their awareness of labor safety.

Many employees appreciated the program and wanted the company to organize many similar training sessions in the future. This helps improve employee preparedness and quick response in emergencies and contributes to a safer and more efficient working environment.
