Sigma Champions League 2016 Final Round – The Biggest Battle Of The Year between Mechanical and Electrical

Sigma Champions League 2016 tournament has been held annually with the main purpose of creating harmonious spirit, exchanging knowledge and improving health of all Sigma employees. There were eight football teams in this season with over 200 football players, representative of Mechanical, Electrical, Safety and HR major in all Sigma projects across the country. In the afternoon of December 18th 2016, thanks to the “clement weather, favorable terrain and concord among the people”, the last matches of Sigma Champions League 2016 took place dramatically and attractively.

Final match: E1 and M1
Brutal battle of “the conquest” has finally found the new owner of this season. The heart of E1 fans were fluttering again when witnessing their football team got back to the championship. E1 chose tactical attack at the beginning instead of showing good performance as always. Entering the second half of the match, M1 started attacking to find the drawn but they met the disadvantage while E1 was rising its score. It was too late when the game ended and M1 got only one score. Undergoing a “zero-sum game”, M1 filled with the regret due to missing a golden trophy again. Overcoming M1 with the score 3-1, E1 has successfully become a champion of Sigma Champions League 2016.
Beside the dramatic match between E1 and M1, E2 beat M3 with the score 3-2 to get bronze medal in total. Conversely, M2 and Safety were drawn following the normal 90 minutes of play. During a penalty shoot-out, Safety overcame M2 with the score 4-2 to get the 5th prize. In addition, E3 losing to E4 with the score 2-3.

The closing ceremony was held successfully with a lot of love and attention of the audiences that brought a colorful and meaningful season.
