Closing of Hanoi Skilled Workers Contest 2019: Sigma worker excellently won the prize of talented hands

After 2 days of intense competition, full of excitement and determination; In the afternoon of October 5, 2019, the Skilled Worker Contest 2019 organized by the People's Committee in coordination with the Hanoi Labor Federation, officially closed with the awards granted to 86 candidates with the most outstanding achievements.

Attending the Closing Contest were Mr. Nguyen Van Toan - Member of Executive Board, Deputy Head of Emulation and Reward Board of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Ngo Van Quy - Member, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, Head of the Organization Board of the Competition; Mr. Nguyen Cong Bang - Head of the Hanoi Emulation and Reward Department, Deputy Head of the Organization Board of the Contest, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Deputy Director of Department of Labors, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Mr. Nguyen Duc Quang - Deputy Head of Management Board of Hanoi industrial and export processing zone; Prof. Dr. Pham Van Bong - Vice-Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, and the Executive Committee of the Central Trade Union.

On the side of the City Labor Federation, there was Mr. Dang Thi Phuong Hoa - Permanent Vice Chairman in charge of the Hanoi Labor Federation and Vice-Chairmen Le Dinh Hung and Nguyen Chinh Huu.

The contest of skilled workers in Hanoi in 2019 had 250 excellent candidates from 83 enterprises (with 24 FDI enterprises, 59 other private enterprises) of the 29 upper-level trade unions selected from the ordinary level and above-level contests to participate in the city-level contest with 11 occupations. Most of the contestants have well complied with the Competition Regulations, followed closely the content, orientated the revision outline, expressed quite well the test requirements.

The theory test for many candidates is quite a difficult one because every day they must directly create products for businesses and less time to practice and conditions for updating the theory on a regular and continuous basis. But with the spirit, consciousness, and high responsibility, the candidates took advantage of the leisure to study and make use of all the time to actively practice the theory, so that the test results of those candidates doing quite well.

At the practical test, although the time to approach and get acquainted with the machines in the test area was not much, adding psychological pressure, the contestants were calm and confident to show their bravery, skill level, creating products with good quality which is appreciated by the judges.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Le Dinh Hung - Vice Chairman of the City Labor Union highly appreciated the thoughtful spirit of the candidates, extensive knowledge, skilled workmanship with high qualifications, the quality of many exams is excellent. This affirms the very important role of good and skilled workers in the existence and development of their enterprises in the market mechanism, so it has attracted a lot of facilities and candidates to participate, including new technology fields such as Universal Lathe; CNC Milling; Electric welding; CO2 welding; Industrial electricity, etc.

After a rigorous and objective working process, the Jury Board of each profession consists of experienced experts who have judged and selected the excellent candidates to award. Considered to be one of the typical enterprises, gathering the best contestants, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huong of Sigma Engineering JSC- the leading M&E construction company in Vietnam was honored at the ceremony.

With his expertise in Welding Engineering, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huong has passed many excellent craftsmen and won the third prize in the contest. Certificates and gifts were granted by the Hanoi People's Committee immediately as an encouraging gift, helping individuals continue to improve their quality, constantly improving their skills to advance further.

The contest of excellent workers in Hanoi city in 2019 has closed and successfully achieved, thereby creating a lively emulation atmosphere in the movement of "theoretical review, skill training, good worker competition" of Hanoi Labor Office.
