Sigma Champions League 2024 officially launched
In September, as the earth enters autumn, the cool breezes bring a refreshing atmosphere, blending with unexpected showers, evoking a sense of calm within people. Hanoi’s autumn is always mysteriously beautiful, just romantic enough, and deeply serene. It was also during this seasonal transition that the Sigma Champions League 2024 kicked off, bringing mixed emotions of joy and courageous spirit.
This year's season takes place after Typhoon Yagi passed, leaving behind material and emotional losses. Yet, in these hardships, Sigma’s spirit remains strong. The autumn showers cannot dampen the passion and solidarity of the players and supporters. They are here not only to compete but also to spread love, stand together after the storm, and embody the humane culture that Sigma holds dear. A minute of silence for the victims of the storm touched the hearts of everyone present at the stadium.
As expected, the Sigma Champions League 2024 is not just a sports playground but also a place where team spirit, determination, and kindness shine. In the atmosphere of autumn, camaraderie, and belief in a resilient future, the tournament promises to leave lasting impressions not only on the field but also in the hearts of everyone involved.
The Sigma Champions League 2024 officially opened at 1:30 PM, but by 12:30 PM, many spectators and supporters were already present at Bang B Stadium to witness the classic matches of the tournament.
Raindrops during the flag-raising ceremony created a memorable moment, making the atmosphere cool, fresh, and soothing, easing away the scorching summer days. The powerful National Anthem echoed, urging the eight teams to quickly enter the match.
In his opening speech for the SCL 2024, General Director Nguyen Quang Ngoc shared heartfelt words with the players and supporters. He emphasized that it had been 14 years since their first meeting at Bang B Stadium, where millions of intense and emotional matches took place, giving us unforgettable memories. These were moments of excitement with the ball, and the camaraderie among brothers, colleagues, and teammates that are hard to find elsewhere. This year, despite the passing storm, Sigma's bond remains strong, and the full presence of all members is the most precious gift that Sigma could have. This year’s tournament promises to bring many surprises, igniting the passion in every player.

The encounter between Safety and M1 ends with a convincing victory for the red-clad men
In the second series of matches, there are two matches E1 - M&S on field number 1, E3 - M3 on field number 2. It is considered a match that is difficult to predict the result when the giant E1 has to face the ambitious team M&S. Bringing in a series of stars in the transfer market, M&S has shown a completely different face in this year's tournament when they played fairly and created many difficulties for E1. A tense, fierce match was created by both clubs. Very little space for players on both sides created dangerous opportunities for the opponent's goal when both clubs played tightly, pressing high from the opponent's field. When the first half was coming to the end, many spectators thought of a goalless draw, but in a rare mistake from the M&S defense, the ball was passed out for striker Van Dat of E1 to tap the ball into the empty net, opening the score of the match. This was also the result of the first 30 minutes of play. Entering the second half, with the advantage of leading, the E1 players were more comfortable in deploying the ball and had opportunities with sharp counter-attacks. After a few regrettable missed situations, the second goal also came to the E1 players after a smooth attack coordination at the bottom of the wing. At this point, with the spirit of having nothing to lose, the M&S players put the entire squad up to attack. And their efforts were also rewarded with a goal to shorten the score to 1-2 in the following minutes of play. At the end of the match, the E1 players struggled to defend against the attacks from the M&S players. It had been a long time since a team could pressure the E1 players like that. The whistle to end the second half sounded, a thrilling victory for the E1 players. Despite losing, M&S has shown a big change in this year's tournament and will be a great opponent for any opponent this season.

E1 win hard-fought victory over M&S Team
On field number 2, E3 welcomed M3 in the opening match in the context that both clubs had big changes in terms of force in this year's tournament. Both teams took the field with many young players, bringing a new breeze to the match. The game was open, with both sides attacking back and forth. In such an open and not very calculating game, an exciting score chase took place. M3 were the ones to open the score first with a very good handling situation by player Dang Hai. However, just 1 minute later, E3 players scored an equalizer after a regrettable mistake by the M3 goalkeeper. The balance of the match only lasted exactly 3 minutes when M3 players once again scored a goal to take the lead after a tricky low shot. The first half ended with the M3 players leading. In the second half, with the determination to find an equalizer, the E3 coaching staff made tactical changes. And one of them brought about the equalizer 2-2 after a very tricky header by the Hai Nam player. At this point, the match was once again brought back to the starting line. Although they really wanted to win all 3 points on the opening day, the strikers of both clubs regrettably missed out, accepting to share points on the opening day of SCL2024.

In the final series of matches, the fateful match between E2 - M2 that is mentioned every season with the dramatic excitement every time these two teams face each other. Entering the match with confidence against the M2 players, E2 deployed a better game with continuous attacks and pressured their opponents. But football always contains surprises. In just 5 short minutes, after two consecutive mistakes from the goalkeeper and defense, E2 conceded two quick goals before the end of the first half, a result that few people expected. In the second half, with nothing to lose, E2 players pushed their formation to the opponent's field and created consecutive attacks. M2's defense only really held firm in the first 10 minutes of the second half before allowing E2 players to score a goal to narrow the gap to 1-2. Continuing the excitement, just a few minutes later, E2 players scored an equalizer to 2-2, bringing the match back to a balance after a tricky long-range shot. At this point, the spirit was high and the opponent was exhausted, revealing many gaps. After a clever through pass from captain Van Do and a delicate one-touch shot that topped the M2 net by midfielder Tuan Anh, the E2 players completed the comeback, ending the opening round of SCL2024 with a spectacular and dramatic match.
